Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

A year or so ago, I started taking notes in church. Which I find hilarious because I did not take very good notes in school. The few times my pencil actually touched the paper, my brain would be off to another island, and the notes that I took were incomplete. Now that I am quite a few years older, I can now hear the important things that I need to know and focus on.

I just found a notebook with sermon notes from May of this year. Reading through them a couple of bullets popped out, but nothing over the top. I flipped the page and found the generic thought for the book I just published. However, the thought on the paper was not what came out in the book. I giggled inside and deduced that there is another story with these notes. There is another book in the process. I have another competition to write a book in 90 days again, and where I thought I had an idea …. I definitely do now. I think I will try and keep that note where I can see it more prominently, and that way I can fully run with it.

Last night I started, again, editing, kind of, the fourth book in the series. It only has six or seven chapters thus far, and I have only gotten through the first chapter and half of chapter two. The purpose of my reading it was to refamiliarize myself with the characters, so that I could continue. However, as I was reading through, I found mistakes and decided there was no reason to leave them.

My stepson from Germany is on a plane heading this way, he will be here this evening. It is only him. He is coming to help and be there for his dad. Today is the Lord’s day, and I really need to go to church, but that stubborn side in me says that I need to stay strong, and I cannot go to the place that makes me stronger. Stupid right? The place where I do not need to be strong yet makes me stronger, and I don’t want to go but want and need to go. Totally human, ain’t I?

Today my brain is not braining very well. I am all over the place. So, how do I recover from ADDOST (attention deficit dis…oh shiny thing)? I go to His house. I put away my pride. I swallow my ego. I accept the love and hugs that are forthcoming from the family of believers who solidify my foundation in His presence. When I do this, then I will be fueled for the next round of chaos and despair. Without it, I will spiral … and I know that … done that … got the t-shirt.

Are you in an arena that seems like it will never end and the cards that you were dealt are a folding hand? Don’t fold. Take that check card and go to His house. Check your (self) and defenses to protect yourself at the door and walk in open. Allow yourself the opportunity to feel Him through his servants. Hear His message of love and healing. Refuel with the highest of high octane. Stand victorious for another week, until you meet again.

Be blessed today my friends.

***Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. – James 5:7-8
