Psalm 15:1-5 RSV
Psalm 15:1-5 O LORD, who shall sojourn in thy tent? Who shall dwell on thy holy hill?
He who walks blamelessly, and does what is right, and speaks truth from his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue, and does no evil to his friend, not takes up a reproach against his neighbor;
in whose eyes a reprobate is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
who does not put out his money at interest, and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these tings shall never be moved.
Psalm 24:1-10 The earth is the LORD's and the fulness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein;
for he has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the rivers.
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? and who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing form the LORD, and vindication from the God of his salvation.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah
Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.
Who is the king of glory? the LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the king of glory may come in,
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of Glory! Selah
Ephesians 4:23-32 and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
and and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Therefore, putting away falsehood, let every one speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
be angry but do not sin; do not the sun go down on your anger,
and no opportunity to the devil.
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his hands, so that he may be able to give to those in need.
Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for edifying, as fits the occasion, that it may impart grace to those who hear.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redeption.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away, with all malice,
and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Leviticus 19:15-18 "You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.
You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand forth against the life of your neighbor; I am the LORD.
"You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you should reason with your neighbor, lest you bear sin because of him.
You shall not take vengeance or bear any grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.
Esther 2:19-23 When the virgins were gathered together the second time, Mor'-de-cai was sitting at the king's gate. Now Esther had not made known her kindred or her people, as Mor'-de-cai had charged her; for Esther obeyed obeyed Mor'-de-cai just as when she was brought up by him.
And in those days, as Mor'-de-cai was sitting at the king's gate, Big'than and Te'resh, two of the king's eunuchs, who guarded the thresfold, became angry and sought to lay hands on King A-has'-u-e'rus.
And this came to the knowledge of Mor'-de-cai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in the name of Mor'-de-cai.
When the affair was investigated and found to be so, the men were both hanged on the gallows. And it was recorded in the Book of the Chronicles in the presence of the king.
Esther 3:1-6 After these things King A-has'-u-e'rus promoted Ha'man the Ag'-a-gite, the son of Ham-me-da'-tha, and advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.
And all the king's servants who were at the king's gate bowed down and did obeisance to Ha'-man; for the king so commanded concerning him. But Mor-de'cai did not bow down or do obeisance.
Then the king' servants who were at the king's gate said to Mor-de'cai, "Why do you transgress the king's command?"
And when they spoke to him day after day and he would not listen to them, they told Ha'-man, in order to see whether Mor-de'cai's words would avail; for he had told them that he was a Jew.
And when Ha'-man saw that Mor-de'cai did not bow down or do obeisance to him, Ha'-man was filled with fury.
But he disdained to lay hands on Mor-de'cai alone. So, as they had made known to him the people of Mor-de'cai, Ha'-man sought to destroy all the Jews, the people of Mor-de'cai, throughout the whole kingdom of A-has'-u-e'rus.
