Pastors Are Vessels, Christ Is the Source
Many pastors or spiritual leaders sometimes present themselves as if they are the sole carriers of solutions to people’s problems. This can create an unhealthy dependence on them instead of leading the people to Christ, who is the true source of life, healing, deliverance, and solutions.
A genuine pastor’s role is to point people to God, not to himself. The Bible says:
Jeremiah 17:5 – “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord.”
John 14:6 – Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
A faithful shepherd should guide, teach, and intercede for the flock, but never replace Christ in their hearts. When a pastor makes himself the “solution,” he risks turning people’s eyes away from God and toward man, which can easily lead to manipulation and deception.
The true solution to every man’s problem is found in God through Jesus Christ. Pastors are vessels, not the source.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my true source of life and every solution I need. Help me never to put my trust in man above You. Use Your servants as guides, but let my heart remain fixed on Christ alone. Keep me from deception, and let my faith always rest in You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
