This MORNING, I met a Ugandan Muslim man in a taxi. He sat near me, and I introduced myself, saying: "I am Son of Grace, Benjamin Samuel, a Nigerian and a Christian." He told me his name is Sherief, that he is Ugandan, and that he is a Muslim.

I asked him, "How did you become a Muslim" He replied, "By birth.” Then I asked, “What is your hope after you die” He said, “My hope is in Islam."

I then explained to him that there are two kingdoms: the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. The Kingdom of God is ruled by Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of the devil is ruled by Satan. I told him that Jesus Christ is the only way into God’s Kingdom, and whoever believes in Him will be saved.

He responded that in Islam, they call Jesus Isa, and that on the last day He will judge the world. I said, "That is true. But let me ask you: Who is the president of Uganda"He said, “Museveni." Then I asked, “And who is my president in Nigeria” I answered, "Tinubu.” Then I said, "If Museveni stands here and Tinubu stands here, who will you follow"He replied, “Museveni, because I am Ugandan.” I told him, "Exactly! That is what will happen on Judgment Day. Only those who belong to Jesus, who believe in Him and confess Him as Lord, will be saved."

At this, I saw joy on his face. I shared more with him that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that everyone who believes in Him will be saved. I also asked him, "What did Muhammad say about his own eternity?" He admitted, “He said he did not know where he was going."Then I told him, “But Jesus boldly declared, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6)."

Sherief was very happy to hear this truth. He believed in the name of Jesus, and we exchanged contacts for follow-up. Glory be to God!!!!

Dear brothers and sisters, let us continue to do evangelism. Souls are waiting everywhere — in taxis, on the streets, in schools, at work — to hear the good news of salvation.

Every ear is ready to hear the gospel.
Every eye is ready to see the light of Christ.
Every tongue is ready to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" — Romans 10:14

Why Evangelism Matters

1. It is the heartbeat of God —"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10).

2. It is the Great Commission — “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

3. Souls are perishing daily without Christ — and we are called to be watchmen (Ezekiel 33:7–9).

4. It brings joy to heaven — “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10).

5. It gives eternal reward — “He that winneth souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).

Evangelism matters! Let us rise up with boldness, like Paul, and declare: "Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!" (1 Corinthians 9:16).
