The Strength of God in Human Weakness
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 40:28–31
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? … But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Reflection:
Unlike man, God never faints, never grows weary, and never reaches a limit. He is everlasting, divine, and infinite—a source of mystery beyond human understanding. Human strength, no matter how youthful or vibrant, eventually fades. But those who wait on the Lord—trusting, hoping, and leaning on Him—exchange weakness for divine strength. To wait on God is to surrender fully to Him as the source of life, power, and confidence. In Him, we soar above trials, endure the race of life without weariness, and walk through challenges without fainting.
Key Thought:
Our human strength is limited, but God’s strength is limitless. Waiting on Him brings renewal.
Prayer:
Everlasting Father, we thank You for being the God who never faints and never grows weary. We confess our weakness and depend on Your strength. Lord, as we wait upon You daily, renew our strength. Lift us with eagle’s wings above life’s storms, help us to run without growing weary, and to walk without fainting. Be our constant help, our strength, and our confidence. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
