Anchored Faith in an Unstable World
Hebrews 6:19 — “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
---
Day 1 – The Anchor of the Word
Matthew 7:24–25 — “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Reflection:
Have you noticed how quickly things change? One day the world says this is right, the next day it says the opposite. If we let that constant noise shape us, we’ll end up as unstable as the headlines.
But God’s Word doesn’t shift. When life shakes, the Word holds. Jesus said those who hear and do His words are like builders who chose rock, not sand. It’s not glamorous, but it stands.
Story:
A fisherman once said, “When the sky turns black, that’s not the time to test your anchor. You settle that before the storm.” You don’t wait for trouble to find the Word; you plant yourself in it now, so when the storm comes, you’re already steady.
Application:
Maybe right now you feel like life’s current is pulling you every which way. Go back to the Word. Let it remind you who you are, and whose you are.
Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for Your Word that doesn’t change. When fear tries to move me, anchor me in Your truth. Help me not just to hear it, but to live it. Amen.”
