Lord, have mercy on Nigeria. Churches burn, families scatter, and the body of Christ bleeds. The numbers are staggering. In 2024 at least 3,100 Christians were killed in Nigeria, the highest in the world, and thousands were kidnapped. In the first seven months of 2025 an estimated 7,000 more Christians were killed. Since 2009 reputable monitors in Nigeria estimated 50,000-100,000 Christians were murdered, with reports of over eighteen thousand churches attacked, and millions driven from their homes. The grief is beyond numbers. We lament. We pray for protection and justice. We ask for courage for leaders and comfort for the brokenhearted. Lord, heal this land.
