Deuteronomy 18:9-14 “When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.
“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer;
“or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
“For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you.
You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.
“For the nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you.
Isaiah 8:19-22 And when they say to you, "Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry, and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish, and they will be driven into darkness.
Micah 3:1-7 And I said; “Hear now, O heads of Jacob, and you rulers of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know justice?
You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones;
Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin form them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron.”
Then they will cry to the LORD, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds.
Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets Who make my people stray Who chant "Peace" While they chew with their teeth, But who prepare war against him Who puts nothing into their mouths;
"Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them.
So the seers shall be ashamed, And the diviners abashed; Indeed they shall all cover their lips; For there is no answer from God.
Isaiah 9:1-2 Nevertheless the gloom will not be upon her who is distressed, As when at first He lightly esteemed The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, And afterward more heavily oppressed her, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, In Galilee of the Gentiles.
The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.
Isaiah 29:1-4 "Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! Add year to year; Let feasts come around.
Yet I will distress Ariel; There shall be heaviness and sorrow, And it shall be to Me as Ariel.
I will encamp against you all around, I will lay siege against you with a mound, And I will raise siegeworks against you.
You shall be brought down, you shall speak out of the ground; Your speech shall be low, out of the dust; Your voice shall be like a medium's, out of the ground; And your speech shall whisper out of the dust.
Revelation 16:10-11 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
Leviticus 20:27 'A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.'"
Leviticus 20:6-7 'And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.
'Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:31 'Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits, do not seek after them, to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
