Teacher, What shall I do to inherit Eternal Life? NKJV

Luke 10:25-28 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?"

So he answered and said, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all you strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'"

And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."

Matthew 22:34-40 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"

Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

"'This is the first and great commandment.

"And the second is like it; 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

"On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Matthew 23:20-24 "Therefore he who swears by the altar, swears by it and by all things on it.

"He who swears by the temple, swears and by Him who dwells in it.

"And he who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits on it.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law; justice and mercy and faith, These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

"Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

Micah 3:8-12 But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin.

Now hear this, You heads of the house of Jacob And rulers  of the house of Israel, Who abhor justice And pervert all equity,

Who build up Zion with bloodshed And Jerusalem with iniquity;

Her heads judge for a bribe, Her priests teach for pay, And her prophets divine for money, Yet they lean on the LORD, and say, "Is not the LORD among us? No harm can come upon us."

Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest.

Ezekiel 20:10-21 "Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into into the wilderness.

"And I gave them My statues and showed them My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them."

"Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

"Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statues; they despised My judgments, 'which, if a man does, he shall live by them'; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

"But I acted for My name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.

"So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, 'flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands,

"because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statues, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.

"Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction, I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

"But I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk in the statues of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

"I am the LORD your God; Walk in My statues, keep My judgments, and do them;

'hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.'

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 "Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God, the LORD is one!

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

"And these words which I command you today shall be in in your heart.

"You shall leach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall as frontlets between your eyes.

"You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Leviticus 19:17-18 'You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and nor bear sin because of him.

'You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.
