Acts 4:13-22 NKJV
John 11:47-48 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.
"If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation."
Acts 5:24-29 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be.
So one came and told them, saying, "Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!"
Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,
saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!"
But Peter and the other apostle answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.

Acts 1:6-8 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom of Israel?"
And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times of seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 2:29-33 "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
"Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to he flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
"he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
"This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
"Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
Acts 22:14-16 "Then he said, 'The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth.
'For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.
"And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'
Matthew 15:29-31 Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.
Then the great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them.
So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
