Acts 4:32-37 RSV
Acts 4:32-37 Now the company of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had everything in common.
And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were possessors of lands and houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of what was sold
and laid it at the apostles feet; and distribution was made to each as any had need.
Thus Joseph who was surnamed by the apostles Bar'-na-bas (which means, Son of encouragement), a Le'-vite, a native of Cyprus,
sold a field which belonged to him, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Acts 2:40-47 And he testified with many other words and exhorted them, saying, "Save yourselves from this crooked generation."
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
And all who believed were together and had all things in common;
and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, as any had need.
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts,
praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Romans 15:1-7 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves;
let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to edify him.
For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me."
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by they encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
