Genesis 4:9-15 NKJV

Genesis 4:19-24 Then Lamech took for himself two wives, the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah.

And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.

His brother's name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute.

And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.

Then Lamech said to his wives; "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, Even a young man for hurting me.

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."

Psalm 79:8-13 Oh, do not remember former iniquities against us! Let Your tender mercies come speedily to meet us, For we have been brought very low.

Help us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of Your name; and deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins, For Your name's sake!

Why should the nations say "Where is there God?" Let there be known among the nations on our sight The avenging of the blood of Your servants which has been shed.

Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power Preserve those who are appointed to die;

and return to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.
