Genesis 8:20-22 NKJV


Genesis 8:20-22 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offering on the altar.

And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

"While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night Shall not cease."

Jeremiah 33:14-26 'Behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD, 'that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah;

'In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

In those days Judah will be saved, And Jerusalem will dwell safely, And this is the name by which she will be called; THE LORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.'

"For thus says the LORD; 'David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

'nor shall the priests, the Levites, lack a man to offer burnt offerings before Me, to kindle grain offerings, and to sacrifice continually.'"

And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

"Thus says the LORD, 'If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night,  so that there will not be day and night in their season,

'then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers.

'As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.'"

Moreover, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

"Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying, 'The two families which the LORD has chosen, He has also cast them off? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them.

"Thus says the LORD; 'If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,

'then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them.'"

Jeremiah 23:5-6 "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called; THE LORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Psalm 89:30-37 "If his sons forsake My law And do not walk in My judgments,

If they break My statutes And do not keep My commandments,

Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.

My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.

His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me;

It shall be established forever like the moon, Even like the faithful witness in the sky."
