All my life I've been thinking John the Baptist had it pretty good eating that wild honey, but apparently that's actually what they called gritty honey, and it's the worst kind there is.

"The third kind of honey, which is the least esteemed of all, is the wild honey, known by the name of ericæum. It is gathered after the first rain in Autumn, when the heather alone is blooming in the woods, whereupon it seems as if it were sandy."
