1 Thessalonians 5:12-16 NKJV

1 Thessalonians 5:12-16 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those those who labor among you, and and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,

and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

Rejoice always,

1 Corinthians 16:1-18 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also;

On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper,  that there be no collections when I come.

And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.

But if it is fitting that I go also, they will  go with me.

Now I will come to you when I pass through

Macedonia (For I am passing through Macedonia).

And it may be that I will remain, or even spend the winter with you, that you may send me on my journey, wherever I go.

For I do not wish to see you now on the way; but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits.

But i will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost.

For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are any adversaries.

And if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.

Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brethren.

Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but he was quite unwilling to come at this time; however, he will come when he has a convenient time.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

Let all that you do be done with love.

I urge you, brethren-- you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves tot he ministry of the saints--

that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.

I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they supplied.

For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.

Galatians 5:19-26 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,

envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, self-control, Against such there is no law.

And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

2 Corinthians 6:1-13 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not tot receive the grace of God in vain.

For He says; "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blame.

But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God; in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,

in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;

by purity, by knowledge, by longsufferings, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,

by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

as unknown, and yet well known, as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing, as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open.

You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections.

Now in turn for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open.
