Isaiah 1:14-23 NKJV
Isaiah 1:14-23 Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.
When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear, Your hands are full of blood.
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;
But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
How the faithful city has become a harlot! It was full of justice; Righteousness lodged in it, But now murderers.
Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water.
Your princes are rebellious, And companions of thieves; Everyone loves bribes And follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, Nor does the cause of the widow come before them.
Leviticus 23:1-8 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them; 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations these are My feasts.
'Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
'These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.
'On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord's Passover.
'and on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
''On the first day you shall have holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.
'But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.'"
Micah 3:1-4 And I said; "Hear now, O heads of Jacob, and you rulers of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know justice?
You who hate good and love evil; Who strip the skin from My people, And the flesh from their bones;
Who also eat the flesh of My people, Flay their skin form them, Break their bones, And chop them in pieces Like meat for the pot, Like flesh in the caldron."
Then they will cry to the LORD, But He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, Because they have been evil in their deeds.
Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, That you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you?
