Isaiah 2:6-9 NKJV

Isaiah 2:6-9 For you have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways; They are soothsayers like the Philistines, And they are pleased with the children of foreigners.

Their land is also full of silver and gold, And there is no end to their treasures; Their land is also full of horses, And there is no end to their chariots.

Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.

People bow down, And each man humbles himself; Therefore do not forgive them.

Numbers 23:1-12 Then Balaam said to Balak, "Build seven altars for me here, and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams."

And Balak did just as Balaam had spoken, and Balak and Balaam offered a bull and a ram on each altar,

Then Balaam said to Balak, "Stand by your burnt offerings, and I will go; perhaps the LORD will come to meet me, and whatever He shows me I will tell you." So he went to a desolate height.

And God met Balaam, and he said to Him, "I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram."

Then the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, "Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak."

So he returned to him, and there he was, standing by his burnt offering, he and all the princes of Moab.

And he took up his oracle and said; "Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, From the mountains of the east. "Come, curse Jacob for me, And come, denounce Israel!'

"How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?

For from the top of the rocks I see him, And from the hills I behold him; There! A people dwelling alone, Not reckoning itself among the nations.

"Who can count the dust of Jacob, Or number one-fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, And let my end be like his!"

Then Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and look, you have blessed them bountifully!"

So he answered and said, "Must I not take heed to speak what the LORD has put in my mouth?"

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 "When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.

"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

"or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

"For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you.

"You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.

"For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you.
