Isaiah 13:9-16 NKJV

Isaiah 2:12-18 For the day of the LORD of hosts Shall come upon everything  proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up-- And it shall be brought low--

Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;

Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;

Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;

Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.

The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

But the idols He shall utterly abolish.

Proverbs 15:25-27 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud, But He will establish the boundary of the widow.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, But the words of the pure are pleasant.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

Haggai 2:6-7 "For thus says the LORD of hosts; 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;

'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the LORD of hosts.

Lamentations 1:12 "Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Behold and see If there is any sorrow like my sorrow, Which has been brought on me, which the LORD has inflicted In the day of His fierce anger.

Jeremiah 50:11-16 "Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, You destroyers of My heritage, Because you have grown fat like a heifer threshing grain, and you bellow like bulls,

Your mother shall be deeply ashamed; She who bore you shall be ashamed. Behold, the least of the nations shall be a wilderness, A dry land and a desert.

Because of the wrath of the LORD She shall not be inhabited, But she shall be wholly desolate. Everyone who goes by Babylon shall be horrified And hiss at all her plagues.

"Put yourselves in array against Babylon all around, All you who bend the bow; Shoot at her, spare no arrows, For she has sinned against the LORD.

Shout against her all around; She has given her hand, Her foundation have fallen, Her walls are thrown down; For it is the vengeance of the LORD, Take vengeance on her. As she has done, so do to her.

Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him who handles the sickle at harvest time. For fear of the oppressing sword Everyone shall turn to his own people, And everyone shall flee to his own land.

Nahum 3:7-11 It shall come to pass that all who look upon you Will flee from you, and say, 'Nineveh is laid waste! Who will bemoan her?' Where shall I seek comforters for you?"

Are you better than No Amon That was situated by the River, That had the waters around her, Whose rampart was the sea, Whose wall was the sea?

Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, And it was boundless; Put and Lubim were your helpers.

Yet she was carried away, She went into captivity; Her young children also were dashed to pieces At the head of every street; They cast lots for her honorable men, and her great men were bound in chains.

You also will be drunk; You will be hidden; You also will seek refuge from the enemy.

Deuteronomy 28:30 "You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall lie with her; you shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but shall not gather its grapes.
