When uncertainty rises, nations build idols of safety — “We’ll protect you, just sign here… obey this… register that.” But every idol takes a little more freedom in exchange for comfort. In the Soviet Union, pastors registered sermons. In Nazi Germany, churches had to swear loyalty to the Führer. In China today, congregations are monitored, their songs censored. Fear gave birth to control, and control built idols. 🎯 Reflection: Freedom without faith becomes chaos.
