Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
I seem to have found my groove again. I was able to knock out the rough draft idea for the short story competition that I had forgotten about. The concept is solid, now I need to polish it up. In retrospect, I can already hear some of the previous critiques that I have received on other projects, so today at lunch I will be working on that.
The weather is turning cooler. I slept like a baby last night. I know I was snoring solidly, because when I woke up it tasted like I swallowed my pillow. This temperature is perfect for carriers. Not too cold so they are in fear of cold injuries but cool enough to ward off heat injuries. I have one carrier who will be waking up in a fairly good mood because the weather is her cup of tea.
As my life returns to some kind of normalcy…hopefully someone else’s definition of normal (not mine)…I have started mapping out different ideas on how to make my existence more balanced. I have this every morning to help me keep my focus on Him first and foremost. But then the rest of the day is a fly by the seat of my pants event until bedtime. I am not saying that is entirely bad, but I don’t see Him in my daily routine as much as I would like. I used to find Him on my walks … I don’t walk anymore. I used to visit with Him at the river … we haven’t visited very much here lately. He and I still hang out all day, but it is not what I think it should be. Since I am worldly, and I think that, I can only imagine what he thinks.
After writing that story yesterday (Spoiler Alert … it is titled “Choosing Hell”) my personal walk began to highlight some areas that I have ‘chose’ to let slide. So, today we start again at tightening up those areas where I have made bad or wrong choices. One of those areas is my weight. I am ridiculously heavy and have no viable reason to be so. So…we start again at fixing this problem. He has already shown me one area that I need to avoid, quite vividly with extra alternative office trips (potty). Now that is no longer in my diet. I will also be reinstituting my walks. I do believe that I will start small, and not 10pm walks as I did before.
Today is day one of the new/old focus of me on the right target … Him. Looking for Him in EVERYTHING…not just the everythings that I want him to be in. How about you? Will today be your day one for a new you? Come join me. Day ones can be fun and exciting … especially when you have a partner to share them with.
Be blessed today my friends.
