In recent years, we’ve seen a global push toward digital ID systems. Governments claim these systems are for “convenience” and “security,” but the Bible warns us to be spiritually discerning. Revelation 13:16–17 tells us that a day is coming when “no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.” This prophecy speaks of a worldwide enforcement system tied to worship and allegiance, not just technology.
Digital IDs themselves are not the mark of the beast, but they could easily become the infrastructure used to enforce it.
