Hebrews 10:29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be NLT

Question in the Bible

Hebrews 10:29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be

for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to us.

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened--those who have experienced the good things of heaven, and shared in the Holy Spirit,

who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come--

and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Hebrews 6:9-10 Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation.

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

Matthew 12:31-32 So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven--except blasphemy against against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.

Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Mark 3:28-30 I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,

but anyone who blasphemies the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences."

He told them this because they were saying. "He's possessed by an evil spirit."
