2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

Oh how true. I saw a posting on a FB group from someone who said service sermons are for the sinners not for the believers. That started a bit a of an discussion.

True, the primary goal of the Pastor is to lead more souls to Christ. But, he is also giving US believers lessons. And if it is a sermon anointed by God, even believers will have heard the message.

For I believe all of us need to hear more lessons from God. Be it by reading a daily passage, or going to Church services.

How many times has say a person who has backslid showed up at church? Just because they backslid does not mean they are not saved. They simply need to repent and reorient on God. This is what happened to me. Getting back into Church. Hearing His word. Being encouraged by fellowship and getting involved with like minded Christians.

Going to Church is for EVERYONE. If you want to grow closer to Christ, then you NEED to study God's Word on a daily basis. Just attending Church once a week won't do it.

My humble opinion.

God Bless
