Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished CR NIV
Question in the Bible
Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished,
who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Answer in the Bible
Hebrews 6:4-6 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who has tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age
and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
Hebrews 6:9-10 Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case--the things that have to do with salvation.
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Matthew 12:31-32 And I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Mark 3:28-30 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter,
but whoever blasphemies against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin."
He said this because they were saying, "He has an impure spirit."
