Good morning everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Today is going to be a busy day, but a productive one. I went to bed around 9, set my alarm for 6, woke up the first time at 430, then promptly went back to sleep until my alarm. A good 8.5 hours of sleep. It is going to be a fantastic day.

While making my coffee, the thought of ‘time’ came to mind. Have you ever noticed how we do not appreciate it enough? Time either runs to fast for us, too slow for us, or somewhere in the middle that is still not good enough for us. Rarely do we appreciate the time that we are given.

We are not 9 days into October. I have one writing challenge due on the 12th of a thousand words. It is written but needs editing and polishing. I have a 50k piece due at the end of the month (22 days) that I have not touched in three days. Then I have the 50k challenge due at the end of December. At first glance, one might think that I am not taking my time seriously enough to meet these deadlines. At first glance, you might look at the use of the time mentioned and see only the negatives of what I have not done. At first glance, you might feel overwhelmed by the closing-in expectations dates, seeing that we are almost to one, closing in on another, and conclude that procrastination will be a factor on the third. OR.

Like my sleep last night. It was fast. Seems like I just laid down, and my alarm was going off. However, the rest that I felt was immeasurable. My body rested and refreshed and ready to check off the boxes of accomplishments for today. I popped up, the best I could at my age, said my prayers, got my coffee, started the rest of the dishes, made my husband's medicine, and started writing. Less than 30 minutes. I am goal-oriented today. I do have a host of things that need to be completed, since it is my day off.

Time is a gift. We all have a set amount of time we are given on this earth. Too often we attribute time as a problem, rather than the solution. When we really desire something, we want it now. However, if it is a negative marker of sorts, we want to procrastinate as long as possible. Then we have that middle ground. That middle ground that we still dislike, but it has done nothing to us. That middle ground where we think we still have all the time in the world, but in reality, we do not. (all of my writing challenges) It is at the end of those times, that we realize that we squandered valuable time where we could have made a difference.

When our time comes to an end, and we do not know when that will be, we will have to stand in account for the way we used our time. Just as servants who were given talents when the master left, we will either be rewarded or cast away.

Appreciate the time you have been given. Do not allow the enemy to persuade you that you have been robbed or you are being cheated. You have the allotted time you were designed for in each situation. Just because you chose not to use it wisely does not mean that you were cheated.

When our time comes to stand before the Judgement and the Book of Life, what are you going to tell the angel with the book? I did my best. If you have surrendered your life to Him, they will know you did your best. But, if you have not surrendered your life, your best will not be good enough.

We only have so many days on this earth. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ yet, I urge you to do so. Because when you take you last breath…it is too late. Please manage your time here wisely.

Be blessed today my friends.
