Hebrews 10:29 Just think how much worse is the punishment they will deserve GNT
Hebrews 10:29 What, then, of those who despise the Son of God? who treat as a cheap thing the blood of God's covenant which purified them from sin? who insult the Spirit of grace?
Question in the Bible
Just think how much worse is the punishment they will deserve!
Answer in the Bible
Hebrews 6:4-6 For how can those who abandon their faith be brought back to repent again? They were once in God's light; they tasted heaven's gift and received their share of the Holy Spirit;
they knew from experience that God's word is good, and they had felt the powers of the coming age.
And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame.
Hebrews 6:9-10 But even if we speak like this, dear friends, we feel sure about you. We know that you have the better blessings that belong to your salvation.
God is not unfair. He will not forget the work you did or the love you showed for him in the help you gave and are still giving to other Christians.
Matthew 12:31-32 For this reason I tell you: people can be forgiven any sin and any evil thing they say; but whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Anyone who says something against the Son of Man can be forgiven; but whoever says something against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven—now or ever.
Mark 3:28-30 “I assure you that people can be forgiven all their sins and all the evil things they may say.
But whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, because he has committed an eternal sin.”
(Jesus said this because some people were saying, “He has an evil spirit in him.”)
