Good morning, everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

I was blessed yesterday with a focused mind. I rose early on my day off, completed my normal routine with a few additions of dishes, trash, and laundry starting. Returning to the keyboard, I knocked out my morning paper and drank my coffee. Once completed, I knocked out phone calls that I keep forgetting to return and set up appointments for both my husband and my mom. My front room now looks like a front room again (minus the fuzzy rug snow). Round two of laundry and open the dishwasher for them to air dry. Finally pulled all the linen from upstairs to wash and brought it down. Dishes checked, but not clean, re-run. Laundry moved and next load in. Then off to town to do the banking, visit with mom and teach her how to use the Audible Ap I put on her tablet. One last stop at the grocery store and back home. In the store played smiling games at two different people … just because. Back at home, sat back down and knocked out the revision of the short story challenge and submitted it. Was blessed to be able to spend quiet time with a dear friend while my husband worked on her car. Later, finish the laundry and dishes. A very productive, yet relaxing day.

The best part, other than getting to bed on time (9 pm), was that I could see God in all aspects of my day. He was very much present everywhere. Hence, the reason I am sure, that it all went smoothly. Karalee was only there in spirit … LOL.

It is amazing how much smoother my day runs when I get out of His way. I may not agree with his order of operations, or I may think that I can do this too at the same time (thus, my addost), but when I just show up and follow His lead, smooth sailing.

Today, my trainee will be flying solo as I play with some other aspects of my life inside the post office. I will only assist if he calls me for help. The unfortunate part of learning to properly swim is that at some point, you must take the floaties off. Tomorrow will be another solo day for him and then hopefully his confidence will build. I understand him quite well because I suffer from the same problem …In my head syndrome. Haha.

I have found that when learning a new task, my brain instantly thinks that I should be able to do this right now because I am older, because I am younger, because I am a woman, because I am … name the reason. Then, when I do not get right away, the doubt sets in. The internal challenges that I am not good enough. That I need to just go back and do what I am good at. That, my friend is the enemy. He knows that this new task is going to open doors for me to spread the Word in some fashion, and he does not want me doing any more damage to his hell club. The same is true for you. When doubt sets in, that is the enemy.

As those moments come into play, quickly dismiss them with the power of Jesus. Keep your mind free. They will continue to press but keep them at bay with your powerful position as a child of God. You will notice that the more you do this, the more peace you will have. It really is quite amazing.

Today is your day to be that powerful vessel that He has made you to be. Stand firm and find your peace.

***In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. – Psalm 143:12
