Acts 16:30-34 "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" CSB


Acts 16:30-34 He escorted them out and said,

Question in the Bible

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

Answer in the Bible

They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

And they spoke the word of the Lord to him along with everyone in his house.

He took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds. Right away he and all his family were baptized.

He brought them into his house, set a meal before them, and rejoiced because he had come to believe in God with his entire household.

Acts 2:36-39 Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah."

Call to Repentance

When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: "Brothers, what should we do?"

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of the Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.
