In recent days, the Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP) has intensified its attacks against Christian communities in the provinces of Cabo Delgado and Nampula.
Extremist militias have killed and b*headed believers, burning down churches, homes, and entire villages. Just this past week, attacks were reported in Chiure, Montepuez, Macomia, and Memba, where dozens of Christian families were displaced and places of worship reduced to ashes. More than 30 Christians have died over the last weeks.
The terrorist group even released images showing the destruction, aiming to spread fear among the followers of Christ.
In the face of this painful reality, we make an urgent call to prayer for our brothers and sisters in Mozambique — may the Lord strengthen, protect, and fill them with hope amid their suffering.
