Today is fathers day.
To all you fathers out there HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
I am not a father, and mine is gone. Service was all about fathers of course. Left me feeling so empty. All I can think about is my father being gone now for 8 years. I was blessed with a wonderful father who taught me to be a man. Be kind to others. Love my family with all my heart even when it hurt. To help others when they were in need without looking for anything in return.
To step up and keep my word, even when I was sick or too tired to do so. To do it cheerfully even when I was miserable inside.
To do any job I took to the best of my ability and do it better than anyone else, no matter what the job.
Unfortunately, he did not believe in Christ. He always said it was for people who lacked any will power. We disagreed. But he respected my beliefs and never derided me for them.
I pray often that before the end he accepted Christ.
