Romans 15:14-21 Exploring WOF

From Jerusalem to Illyricum

Romans 15:14-21 Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are  full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,

that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might me acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished  through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient--

in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and around about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

And so I made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation,

but as it is written; "To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand."

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

Ephesians 1:15-19 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

and what is the exceedingly greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

Romans 11:13-14 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles. I magnify my ministry,

if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them.

Glory Only in the Lord

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty, and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

that no flesh should glory in His presence.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption--

that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."

Acts 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul; declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles.

Acts 21:18-21 On the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present.

When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

And when they heard it, the glorified the Lord. And they said to him, "You see, brother, how many myriads of of Jews there are who have believed, and they were all zealous for the law;

but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to their customs.

Acts 2:18-21 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, And they shall prophesy.

I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath; Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.'

The Sin-Bearing Servant

Isaiah 52:13-15 Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently, He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high

Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

So shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what had not been told them they shall see, And what they had not heard they shall consider.
