Colossians 1:1-6 KJV

Matthew 20:25-28 But Je'-sus called them unto Him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gen'-tiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

But it shall not be so among you; but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant;

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 23:1-12 Then spake Je'-sus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

saying, The scribes and the Par'-i-sees sit in Mo'-ses' seat;

All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

But all their works they for to be seen of men; they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rab'-bi, Rab'-bi.

But be not ye called Rab'-bi; for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

And call no man your father upon the earth; for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Neither be ye called masters; for one is your Master, even Christ.

But he that is  greatest among you shall be your servant.

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

1 Peter 5:1-10 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed;

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility; for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Humble  yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour;

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Je'-sus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

1 Peter 4:18-19 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

John 3:13-21 And no man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

And as Mo'-ses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
