Colossians 1:9-14 RSV

Colossians 1:9-14 And so, from the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transformed up to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Ephesians 1:15-23 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge,

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

and what is the the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe according to the working of his great might

which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,

far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come;

and he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church,

which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all in all.

Romans 12:1-3 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

For by the grace given to me I bid every one among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith which God has assigned him.

Proverbs 9:10-11 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 11: 3 By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him. for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Colossians 4:2-6 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;

and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison,

that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak.

Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and has not another to lift him up.

Again, if two lie together, they are warm; but how can one be warm alone?

And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
