Colossians 4:2-18 NKJV
Ecclesiastics 10:8-15 He who digs a pit will fall into it, And whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent.
He who quarries stones may be hurt by them, And he who splits wood may be endangered by it.
If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then He must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
A serpent may bite when it is not charmed; The babbler is no different,
The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool shall swallow him up;
The words of his mouth begin with foolishness, And the end of his talk is raving madness.
A fool also multiplies words. No man knows what is to be; Who can tell him what will be after him?
The labor of fools wearies them, For they do not even know how to go to the city!
1 Peter 3:10-18 For "He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit,
Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled."
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear,
having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
For it is better, If it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.
2 Timothy 4:11 Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.
