Ephesians 1:1-10 KJV


Ephesians 1:1-10 Paul, an apostle of Je'-sus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Eph'-e-sus, and the faithful in Christ Je'-sus;

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Je'-sus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Je'-sus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ;

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love;

Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Je'-sus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself;

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him;

2 Corinthians 1:3-14 Blessed by God, even the Father of our Lord Je'-sus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; or whether we be comforted, it is for for your consolation and salvation.

And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in A'-sia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength,  insomuch that we despaired even of life;

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead;

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver; in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversion in this world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

For we write none other things unto you, than that ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Je'-sus.

John 1:10-14 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
