Ephesians 5:1-7 NKJV
Titus 3:4-11 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.
Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonitions,
knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.
1 Corinthians 6:8-11 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren!
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, not sodomites,
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Timothy 5:17-25 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
For the Scriptures says, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain," and, "The laborer is worthy of his wages."'
Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses.
Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.
I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality.
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure.
No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.
Some men's sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later.
Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.
