Someone please, tag Fox News in the comments so we can educate them, because this is not what Christian revival is or looks like.

Let's be extremely clear: this is not revival.

What we're seeing is an emotionalist reaction to recent current events. The false revival is coming folks, but it will not be based on the Bible.

Buying Bibles, downloading apps, and listening to music God wouldn't recognize as godly (even if it is "christian") isn't revival. So, what does true revival look like? What does false revival look like?

1. Deep Conviction of Sin

2. Repentance and Confession

3. Return to Obedience and God’s Law
“Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.” — Lamentations 3:40
“Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” — Revelation 14:12

4. Earnest Prayer and Fasting
“Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly.” — Joel 1:14; 2:12–13
“They continued… in prayers.” — Acts 2:42

5. Reformation of Life
“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.” — Matthew 3:8

6. Renewed Love for God’s Word

False Revival:

1. Emotionalism Without Obedience
“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” — Matthew 15:8
“They hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” — Ezekiel 33:31

2. Miracle-Seeking and Signs-Based Faith
“An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign.” — Matthew 12:39
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” — Matthew 24:24

3. Disregard for God’s Law
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?… and then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” — Matthew 7:22-23

4. Worldly Music and Sensual Worship

5. Self-Exaltation and Popularity

7. Lack of Repentance and Holiness
