Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
Every day we are faced with making decisions - some more critical than others. We usually don’t get too stressed out about the insignificant ones such as which parking spot to choose or what to eat for supper. But when faced with one of those life changing decisions, then what are we to do? Of course, we discuss it with our spouse, family, or friends, but the FIRST place we should go is to God! He alone knows the future, and more importantly, what is best for us! The Bible says in James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” In other words, God is telling us that we can come to Him for wisdom, guidance, and direction without fear of Him scolding us for bothering Him! God “wants” us to come to Him! In Psalm 32:8 we’re told, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” It really doesn’t get any clearer than that! We don’t have to make decisions blindly, hoping that we make the right one! We can get the answers we need directly from our heavenly Father, and the best part . . . God doesn’t make mistakes! Text: Proverbs 6:22-23, Psalm 119:105, Isaiah 30:21, Psalm 37:23
