“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.” Job 19:25
Thought Of The Day...
In the midst of unbearable suffering, Job made one of the most powerful declarations of faith found in all of Scripture. He had lost his wealth, his health, and his family. His friends accused him of sin, and his own wife told him to curse God and die. Yet, Job stood firm on one unshakable truth: “My Redeemer lives.”
This was not just hopeful thinking—it was a confident assurance. Job’s faith was not based on his circumstances, but on the unchanging character of God. Even when everything around him seemed dead, Job proclaimed life. He believed that his Redeemer—God Himself—would one day vindicate him and make all things right.
The word Redeemer in Hebrew, “go’el,” refers to a kinsman-redeemer—a close relative who rescues, restores, or avenges. Job prophetically points to Jesus Christ, our ultimate Redeemer, who stood upon the earth to bear our sins, rise from the grave, and give us eternal victory.
When life feels unfair, when you’re misunderstood, betrayed, or broken, you can hold to this truth:
Your Redeemer still lives.
He has not forgotten you. He stands for you. And He will have the final say.
Something to Keep in Mind...
• Stand in faith, not in feelings. Like Job, declare God’s faithfulness even when you don’t see the outcome.
• Remember who your Redeemer is. Jesus conquered death, and because He lives, your situation is not hopeless.
• Expect restoration. What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for your good and His glory (Genesis 50:20).
Prayer...
Heavenly Father, Thank You for being my living Redeemer. Even when I walk through pain, loss, or confusion, I know You are alive and working on my behalf. Help me to trust You when I don’t understand, and to declare Your goodness in every season. Restore what has been lost, renew my hope, and let my faith be anchored in the truth that my Redeemer lives.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declaration of Faith:
“No matter what I face, I will stand firm in faith—because my Redeemer lives!”
