💪 In Jesus Alone, Love is Stronger Than Life Plato used to say: "Only he who is worthy of being loved deserves to exist." What was hidden from Plato, and what we Christians believe with all our souls, is that only he who loves deserves to be loved. Only he who loves deserves to exist, because he alone is free, because he alone is human. And in the history of mankind, only one was absolutely free, because only one loved with a perfect love. Only one is fully human. As for us, we strive to love, and we laboriously build, over days and years, our freedom, and we are still enslaved to many things in many ways. We cling to what we have and to what we know will die. We are more attached than we are detached. So the life in us, the present life, biological life, transient life, is stronger than love. In Jesus Christ alone, love was stronger than life. And His death was the death of a man who was absolutely free, absolutely detached from himself and from everything, and who loved perfectly.
