Humility and Social Competition
Humility does not kill the spirit of competition, but rather places it in its correct context. The humble person does not live for competition, and if he races or competes with others, he does not seek to dominate and rule over others. And if the humble person obtains a position or a job... etc., he does not exploit it to crush others, but rather opportunities for success and advancement become opportunities for repentance and self-examination. Therefore, money, job, or success... etc., are not the goals of life, but God is the goal. And pride is when the means becomes the goal, and the goal becomes the means.
