Christ in You, the Hope of glory RSV

Galatians 2:4-10 But because of false brethren secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage--

to them we did not yield submission even for a moment, that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you. and from those who were reputed to be something (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)--those, I say, who were of rebute added nothing to me;

but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with he gospel to the circumcised

(for he who worked through Peter for the mission to the circumcised worked through me also for the Gentiles),

and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James, and Ce'phas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Bar'-na-bas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;

only they would have us remember the poor, which very thing I was eager to do.

1 Corinthians 2:6-11 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not  a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.

None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had , they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,"

God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

For what person knows a man's thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him?  So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

2 Corinthians 2:12-17 When I came to Tro' as to preach the gospel of Christ, a door was opened for me in the Lord;

but my mind could not rest because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I took leave of them and went on to Mac-e-do'-ni-a.

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those those who are perishing,

to the one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word; but as men of sincerity, as commanded by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

Ephesians 3:4-7 When you read this you can  perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,

which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and  prophets by the Spirit;

that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace which was given me by the working of his power.
