Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
We have been blessed with yet another opportunistic day of service. I know that is a lot of words for, I woke up this morning, however, if we begin to look at waking up every day as an opportunity, then maybe regardless of what day of the week it is … we can find joy.
Today is Monday. The dreaded Monday, by many…including me at times … until I think about how He has given me another chance to be a blessing to someone who is in need of one.
As I think about this thought of categorizing the days of the week, I can completely see how easy it was for the enemy to implement this thought.
Stick with me. A standard work week is Monday through Friday. Weekends, Saturday and Sunday, are the ‘normal’ days off. Two days in a row for whatever you want to do. Like most things, when there are two days of no activity, the first day back is a bit chaotic as you get your mojo back into work mode. In that process of returning back to that aspect … things tend to fall apart. Whether it is equipment being cantankerous or fellow employees who played harder over their two days off than their age would have liked … it does take a moment or six to get back in the groove. Mondays do tend to be rough at first and can continue to do the downward spiral if we allow that negativeness to rule our spirit.
In my business, Tuesdays are pretty light. Like, very mild, and why are we even here, easy. Wednesday and Thursday, we have found our routine, and it is pretty standard as standard goes. However, then comes Friday, and we are all giddy about it being Friday, and we get two days off. The excitement comes from knowing we do not have to go to work the next day.
This is a standard display of a standard work week. Maybe you have Sunday/Monday off (this would make Saturday your Friday) or you have split days or only one day off, the point is this. Our first day back to work after a day off or two, seems like a Murphy’s Law day. Whatever can go wrong will, kind of day. At least in our minds. But…we can change that. We can determine that our Mondays will be our Fridays and we will be a blessing regardless of what the enemy throws at us. We can determine that no obstacle will take our joy. That no circumstance will steal our peace. That we will seek the Light on all occasions, and the enemy will have no foothold on our purpose. If we all took this stance, how much better would the world be each and every day?
Today, we head for another appointment that has already changed its meaning. It was supposed to be for one thing, and now it is another. Where I understand the position of the new doctor, it is going to be an adjustment in our schedule. There is a reason for it, and I must trust God in his plan for us. I could easily allow this to set the mood for my day, but I choose Light. How about you?
Be blessed today my friends.
