The finale of Pasig City is Pasig Mega Market. It is surrounded by Market Avenue, Caruncho Avenue, & San Agustin Street. It is also known as the most crowded area & biggest market in Pasig City. Pasig is also called the "Green City" by reason of the government's labor for environmental sustainability. These are the bans of plastics, promotion of green spaces, & pro-green transportation, etc. The aim is to make a healthier environment with eco-friendly living. With all of this in mind, will it prevent natural disasters like flash floods, typhoons, & earthquakes in the Philippines? Will Earth itself be a better home for mankind to tread by promoting the green? Does the Sacred Text allude to anything about nature?
The very first covenant that God made with mankind is the Edenic Covenant (Gen. 1:26-30; 2:16-17). It is also known as the Covenant Of Works & centralizes the innocence of humans. In this covenant, mankind was created in the image of Elohim; dominion over the animal kingdom, procreation & inhabitation of Earth; vegan all day; and most of all forbidden to touch & eat the tree of knowledge of good & evil.
Everything was perfect where there was no sin, no death, no sorrow, & no pain till God permitted the Old Serpent to see if mankind obeyed or not. Sadly, Adam & Eve failed. Thus was the birth of the Adamic Covenant where the Serpent is cursed above all animals & will eat dust for the rest of its existence; the seed of the Serpent & the seed of Eve will have a perpetual warfare; painful childbirth for women; marital strife; the earth cursed; entry of thorns & thistles; struggle for survival; and death entering into the world.
Death, the soil cursed, & thorns & thistles are the ones responsible for the death & destruction of all. Droughts that summons starvation, hurricanes that flings cars & ceilings, flash floods submerging homes, tornadoes that pulls & throws, volcanic eruptions that emits ashfall threatening our lungs & eyes, movement of tectonic plates causing earthquakes & aftershocks, tsunamis that ravages everything in its path, & many more. Besides that is the animal kingdom, introduction of plagues, & some of Earth’s materials a threat to all. For animals to be insectivores & carnivores to devour while others have defences like hard shells, or quills on the back, venom in its fangs, razor sharp teeth & claws to chomp down flesh. The same goes for plagues like cancer, ebola, asthma, autism, split personalities, rabies, HIV & AIDS, & so on. And finally pollution, wear & tear, free radicals, & so on. All of these things are part of the Adamic Covenant as God’s wrath & curse against the fall of Adam & Eve throughout all of history & epochs. So, to copy the pattern of the Green City will not overpower nor resolve the curses of the Adamic Covenant (Gen. 3:15-19)
With all of the negativity of the 2nd Covenant, it actually mentions a glimmer of hope that shines in the dark - The first prophecy of the Messiah! Theologians call this “Protoevangelium” which is known as the First Gospel. It pertains to the Messiah who will one day bruise the head of the Old Serpent who can only bruise His heel. The damage that he will inflict is quick, feeble, & pathetic while His will be eternal, mighty, & glorious! It will be the end of his hellish dominion & the beginning of His will heavenly reign!
All of this was fulfilled when He came down & sacrificed for the sins of the world! When He died, the earth quaked & wore the crown of thorns on His head! The Lamb’s greatest torment, persecution, & death on the cross signified all of evil’s darkest assault that only bruised His heel which is nothing compared to what He did! Through His sacrifice, His love could not be contained & defeated death, sin, & the forces of darkness forever! Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:4; 1 Jo. 3:8)
In the far future, everything will reverse back to the Edenic Covenant! But this time, it will be superior than the former! A time will come where nature is not to be feared, plagues vanquished, & the curse reversed to blessings forevermore! Imagine a time where we will ride the Tyrannosaurus Rex or the tarantulas as our lesser brethren with no fangs & teeth eating veggies in absolute peace! And that is the beauty & supremacy of the grandeur finale, New Covenant propheseid & fulfilled from the Adamic Covenant! (Is. 11:6-9; 65:25; Ez. 34:25; Hos. 2:18; Rom. 8:19-22; Rev. 21:4-5).
