Living the Christian Life in Christ
Pastor Joseph Clark
Becoming born again and being saved in Christ are the A, B, and C’s of our Christian walk. To grow further, we must read God’s Word daily, pray, fellowship with other believers, and love as Christ loves us. This is how sanctification—our spiritual growth—happens.
We cannot live the Christian life without knowing what it is. The Holy Bible reveals it. Church, Bible study, and small groups help us rejoice together, refresh our spirits, and support one another through weakness and suffering.
As saved believers, we walk submissively with hope, worship triumphantly with courage, witness urgently with faith, work fervently with purpose, and watch expectantly for Christ’s return.
Even church families face challenges because we are all human. Yet this is why Christ’s grace and forgiveness are essential. Being part of God’s Church can test us, but it also brings deep joy. We don’t simply attend church—we are the Church, the body of Christ.
God knows your every strength and flaw, your secrets and struggles, and still Jesus says, “I love you. Follow Me. You are Mine.”
Scriptural Truths
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
— John 3:16
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
— John 14:6
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23
Depending on His Power
Rev. Billy Graham reminded us,
“We cannot live the Christian life without His power and presence within us. He must fill us and control us to overflowing.”
And as Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. said,
“I have felt the power of God transforming the fatigue of despair into the buoyancy of hope.”
Let us put God first, walk in His Word, and live daily in His grace—for He is sovereign, faithful, and worth it all.
