1 Corinthians 3:18-23 NKJV
Romans 12:9-21 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving giving preference to one another;
not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
Repay no one evil for evil. have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peacefully with all men.
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If his is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Job 5:7-16 Yet man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward.
"But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause--
Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number.
He gives rain on the earth, And sends waters on the fields.
He sets on high those who are lowly, And those who mourn are lifted to safety.
He frustrates the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot carry out their plans.
He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them.
They meet with darkness in the daytime, And grope at noontime as in the night.
But he saves the needy from the sword, From the mouth of the mighty, And from their hand.
So the poor have hope, And injustice shuts her mouth.
Psalm 94:1-13 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongs--O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!
Rise up, O Judge of the earth; Render punishment to the proud.
LORD, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph?
They utter speech, and speak insolent things; All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves.
They break in pieces Your people, O LORD, And afflict Your heritage.
They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless.
Yet they say, "The LORD does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob understand."
Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise?
He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?
The LORD knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile.
Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, And teach out of Your law,
That You may give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit is dug for the wicked.
2 Corinthians 10:3-8 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh,
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
And being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ's, Let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's.
For even if I should boast somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed.
