1 Corinthians 6:12-20 NKJV

1 Corinthians 6:12-20 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful to me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the LORD, and the Lord for the body.

And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!

Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For "the two" He says, "shall become one flesh."

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 10:23-24    All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.

Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.

Matthew 15:15-20    Then Peter answered and said to Him, "Explain this parable to us."

So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?

"Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?

"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.

"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies,

"These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

2 Corinthians 4:7-12     But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed--

always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

So then death is working in us, but life in you.
