Malachi 2:8-12 NKJV
Malachi 2:8-12 But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi." Says the LORD of hosts.
"Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base Before all the people, Because you have not kept My ways But have shown partiality in the law."
Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another By profaning the covenact of the fathers?
Judah has dealt treacherously, And an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem, For Judah has profaned The LORD's holy institution which He loves; He has married the daughter of a foreign God.
May the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob The man who does this, being awake and aware, Yet who brings an offering to he LORD of hosts!
1 Samuel 2:27-32 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, "Thus says the LORD; 'Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?
'Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and the wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?
'Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?'
"Therefore the LORD God of Israel says; 'I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.' But now the LORD says; 'Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
'Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father's house, so that there will not be an old man in your house.
'And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever.
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),
yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
Ezra 8:33-36 Now on the fourth day the silver and the gold and the articles were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; with them were the Levites, Jozabad the son of Jeshua and Noadiah the son of Binnui,
with the number and weight of everything. All the weight was written down at that time.
The children of those who had been carried away captive, who had come from the captivity, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel; twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve male goats as a sin offering. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.
And they delivered the king's orders to the king's satraps and the governors in the region beyond the River. So they gave support to the people and the house of God.
