Zechariah 1:1-6 NKJV

Zechariah 1:1-6  In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

"The LORD has been very angry with your fathers.

"Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts; "Return to Me," says the LORD of hosts, "and I will return to you," says the LORD of hosts.

"Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts; "Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds."' But they did not hear nor heed Me," says the LORD.

"Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live forever?

Yet surely My words and My statutes, Which I commanded My servants the prophets, Did they not overtake your fathers? "So they returned and said; 'Just as the LORD of hosts determined to do to us, According to our ways and according to our deeds, So He has dealt with us.'"'"

Zechariah 7:1-7 Now in the fourth year of King Darius it came to pass that the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, on the fourth day of the ninth month, Chislev,

when the people sent Sherezer, with Regem-Melech and his men, to the house of God, to pray before the LORD,

and to ask the priests who were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and the prophets, saying, "Should I weep in the fifth month and fast as I have done for so many years?"

Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

"Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests; 'When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months during those seventy years, did you really fast for Me--for Me?

'When you eat and when you drink, do you not eat and drink for yourselves?

'Should you not have obeyed the words which the LORD proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem and the cities around it were inhabited and prosperous, and the South and the Lowland were inhabited?'"

Malachi 3:6-10 "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them, Return to Me, and I will return to you," Says the LORD of hosts, "But you said, 'In what way shall we return?'

"Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.

You are cursed with a curse For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Isaiah 55:6-11 Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And he will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
