Zechariah 8:9-13 NKJV
Zechariah 8:9-13 "Thus says the LORd of hosts; 'Let you hands be strong, You who have been hearing in these days These words by the mouth of the prophets, Who spoke in the day the foundation was laid For the house of the LORD of hosts, That the temple might be built.
For before these days There were no wages for man nor any hire for beast; There was no peace from the enemy for whoever went out or came in; For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.
'But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,' says the LORD of hosts.
'For the seed shall be prosperous, The vine shall give its fruit, The ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew-- I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these.
And it shall come to pass That just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, Let your hands be strong.'
Haggai 2:1-8 In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet, saying;
"Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the remnant of the people, saying;
'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing?
'Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel, says the Lord; 'and be strong Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be strong, all the people of the land,' says the Lord,' and work; for I am with you,' says the Lord of hosts.
'According the the word that I convenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My spirit remains among you; do not fear!"
"For thus says the Lord of hosts; 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and the dry land;
'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire Of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts.
'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts.
Haggai 1:3-11 Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
"Is it time for you yourselves to dwell In your paneled houses, and this temple to lie on ruins?"
Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts; "Consider your ways!
"You have shown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; you drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes."
Thus says the Lord of hosts; "Consider your ways!
"Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified." Says the Lord.
"You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and you brought it home, I blew it away, Why? Says the Lord of hosts. "Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.
"Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.
"For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the grounds brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands."
Joel 2:21-27 Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvelous things!
Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.
Be glad then you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you--The Former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.
The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
You shall eat plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.
Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel; I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.
